fresh boot of prepackaged latest version with qemu, did switch resolution
couple times and ended up with highest resolution, 16 bit depth

opened command prompt
created folder c:\my
used ftp to connect to internet server to download a file of approximate size
140MB

used 2nd command prompt to run dir on C:\my every 20 seconds or so watching
file grow, last check the file was approximately 30MB

at the time that kernel crashed, however, no user activity was performed and
mouse was not grabbed by the qemu window
