yes that's true (the ü was just an example)

yes that's true but I did that for a reason. I had two choices. Either 
have them act correctly when used with CAPS LOCK (äöü -> ÄÖÜ) or have them 
act correctly when used with SHIFT (äöü -> àéè).  That's my problem. I 
can't set differentiate between SHIFT and CAPS LOCK.
