Shouldn't you include a ddraw_demo.local file, incase the tester's OS 
decides to ignore the local dll?

Windows XP SP2
Radeon 9600 Mobility
DirectX 9.0c

I see a gray window ( I get a green window if I rename your ddraw.dll 
out of the way )
