Uff I don't think so. What if they decide to change the license. I mean how hard could be to develop some fonts similar to microsoft's ones? I think they did that to make life easier to software developers making apps for windows. Something good for microsoft, not like ROS.

After a brief discussion on IRC about fonts, Vizzinni pointed out that
we are legally allowed to distribute the microsoft core fonts, as long
as we don't profit from them, include the EULA, and distribute them in
their original form.  Shall we commit these fonts to CVS?  Fonts
include, arial, etc.  Second Stage setup could then extract and install
the fonts.
