Hello:
You know what guys. It is pointless if we discuss something we can't change. At least not for now. (probably in the future we could) I do not support 'standarts' made by MS, and probably i'll never be except if it is an improvement like .net against JVM. I have two choices or I use exchange or I drop chances of having e-mail. At least not easily accesible all the time. Obviously I decided the first choice. I know exchange does weird things, one I hate is that it puts an html attached to every e-mail. But you know, probably MS decided to make it incompatible with other email clients on purpose, yes that is their politics now. They don't care if it causes problems to their users, noo they prefer to kill oponents doesn't matter what it takes. That is their way to make users put down their heads and make them sell their souls. The empire strikes back. Want to get without trouble? Use Windows, remember Outlooks comes preinstalled (on purpose). Windows movie maker comes preinstalled on purpose, so you use that stupid WMV. Windows Media Player comes preinstalled on purpose, ohh great you can play wonderful videos and audio files. Yes but it also makes you by default pack audio files using that sh.. called WMA. NetMeeting, Internet explorer And now XP comes with that windows instant messenger. And they are planning to put Office preinstalled with Windows. The web is not free from their pushing. See Internet explorer, it always take you to their homesite, the channel bar in win98 takes you where they want. They tweaked the standarts only to kill Netscape. "Come on little stupid, we'll squeeze your brain." That's the tatoo in their heads.
Fine for exchange I still have the choice of uuencoding files and send them that way like in the old school.
Best Regards
Waldo Alvarez

Of course, I've never said I use/used it, in fact, I've never used it
(and have no intention to do that).
BTW I think the point of the thread was about exchange, not outlook.
What I said about em client is that thunderbird is capable to show those
images, and we have no chance
to avoid ppl using that smtp software.
In short, what I was trying to state is that thunderbird is the best em
client I've meet until now,
it is really complete, more lightweight than evolution and really
comfortable.
Bests ;)
Mauricio
