Hi,

the main difference between the german and the english keyboard is the third
meaning with the right-alt key. Usually the right-alt and any other key
gives nothing, with exception of:

english (normal, shift) - german (normal, shift, right-alt)

2,@ - 2,",²
3,# - 3,§,³
7,& - 7,/,{
8,* - 8,(,[
9,( - 9,),]
0,) - 0,),
-,_ - ß,?,\

I hope, that the correct characters are visible. You can also look to
key_to_chars_3mod from kbdgr.c.
