That is like in movie titles.
For instance "Rocky", "Rocky II", "Rocky III"...
Then somebody begun saying "Rocky I" meaning "Rocky".
What "Rocky I"?!
Redundancy is typical in human languages.
Ancient Romans used to say "repetita iuvant", which is "Repeating it helps".
