We seem to be skipping all over the legal terrain of IT! Has anyone 
ever been sued for having headers that are too similar to those of 
another? Copyrights are a grey area when it comes to headers and the 
reason is that many legal instruments (including patents) are not 
suited to software. And in cases such as headers this unsuitability 
becomes more apparent.

I wonder what WINE's position on header copyright is? Understanding and 
then rewriting also violates copyright because it falls under 
transformation at best - transformation of copyrighted material is 
still considered violation.
