We seem to be skipping all over the legal terrain of IT! Has anyone
ever been sued for having headers that are too similar to those of
another? Copyrights are a grey area when it comes to headers and the
reason is that many legal instruments (including patents) are not
suited to software. And in cases such as headers this unsuitability
becomes more apparent.
I wonder what WINE's position on header copyright is? Understanding and
then rewriting also violates copyright because it falls under
transformation at best - transformation of copyrighted material is
still considered violation.
Cheers
Jason
