  • Reactos Update Program
    • I would like to see in Reactos, an update program, to update the OS without be necessary to install the entire OS and all programs installed all time a new version is released.
    • The program will work in the following mode: the program will have a window where will be showed all OS files, and descriptions of these files like: version, which programs use this file, what functions can be missing if the file be deleted and...
    • So when click in the option to update the OS, a new window will be opened, showing what files need to be updated, showing the difference of the version, and what was changed with the new file version. In this window will be marked the missing files in the OS too. So we will have the option to download the missing files or not.
    • I would like the option to download the missing files or not, because sometimes i like to delete the files that i don't use like: cards.dll, a dll used to windows games, so i'll never use it, consequently i can delete it forever.
    • Another thing thhat i think could be interesting is a Registry Comparison. How this will work?
    • This tool will work in the following mode: The program will read the registry files. example: Win98: USER.DAT and SYSTEM.DAT. So after the program do this, will have an option to open others different registry files and then compare this, showing what registry files was added, deleted, changed.
    • Why this?
    • This could be useful if you delete important registry files, and then your OS doesn't want to work correct, you can compare with original registry files and see what is causing the problem.
