Yes, I compiled it on linux. I got the source from svn://svn.reactos.org/reactos/trunk/reactos so I think that would be trunk. Thanks for the support. Starting later today I'm going to be away from my computer, and thus Reactos for about a month. If I still have the problem after coming back, I'll s...

INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
I posted in bugzilla (#1577) but it doesn't seem to be getting much attention.
So does anyone know any reason why I would get a BSOD with the message "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE"?
Anyway, thanks for reading about my personal problems !

thanks
I'll check that and try again when I get home but I don't think I'd miss anything so obvious, and I searched the entire harddrive for *.log.
It never actually boots up all the way so I suppose its possible that it hadn't fully initialized the filesystem or something before crashing.

yes
I am using FreeLoader to boot on real hardware.
If I turn on debug mode I get an error message right before it reboots but don't have time to read it. all I got was something failed to initialize.
I tried setting debugport to file but couldn't get it working.

Reactos won't boot
when I try to boot ReactOS (cvs) it gets to a fancy blueish screen but the reboots! If I boot it with /NOGUI it gets past "checking drive C: OK" before rebooting! this is a really old computer and I'm not sure what reactos's minimum requirements are. also everything was compiled with linux...

Rat it through MSWord spellcheck, I'm not the best at grammer so I only changed that when obvious. It's not perfect but much better. What is ReactOS? ReactOS is an Open Source effort to develop a quality operating system that is compatible with Microsoft Windows(R) applications and drivers. Is this ...

whoa, my first post!
Depends on what you mean by compatible. Reactos is still not finished and as such isn't even close to fully supporting any version of windows. Networking support is just now barely starting to take off, directX support isn't there yet, and you'll have a hard time getting many programs to work out of...
