Yep. American here. Sorry about the .dk thing. You'd think I would know that to be Denmark considering my ancestors came from there...

/sigh Oh well.

I don't know about a German specific site. However, part of the ReactOS build process is building LiveCD's (Along the lines of Knoppix.) http://reactos.csh-consult.dk/index.php?page=snapshots < that's a link to a website that performs nightly builds of the ReactOS source code. For the LiveCD just do...

The name may be wrong but I believe that they will be calling that section of the code the "NDK" or Native Development Kit.

It will be a way to interface directly with the internals of ReactOS. I imagine part of that will be the subsystem interface stuff.

I guess it depends on how you look at it, GvG. Win9x drivers are based on VxD (Virtual Devices). To use the VxD's you need a program known as the VMM (Virtual Machine Manager). I imagine if someone were really really interested in having VxD's on ReactOS they could write vmm32.sys (Instead of vmm32....

Answers or thoughts in order... Networking is coming along nicely from what I can see on the day to day. While some optimization is done 'in line' with the other programming, I imagine the majority of optimization won't start happening untill ReactOS has much more functionality than it presently doe...

Speaking as an outsider. The registry can grow to be HUGE! Ever looked through the registry of a system that hasn't been wiped for more than 6 months? It's crazy... My point being, XML is an extremly verbose format. In addition, the parsing of an XML format file is generally fairly slow. With even a...

That's confusing... I just got an email from Jason and I tested my email address a moment ago when I saw you say it wasn't working. My internal testing is working. Wonder what's going wrong.

Offering skinning help for the new forum.

I'd like to kick this section of the ReactOS forum off by offering assistance in the skinning department. Providing the help is wanted/needed.

Do I know how to skin phpBB? Not at the moment. I bet I can figure it out in just a few days tho.

Interested? Let me know.

Thank you, Master Wirth.

I guess you got my email asking about this section. Thanks much. Now the website people have a place to congregate and begin earnest discussion about updating/improving/creating the website.

I've done some small tracking over the past few years. Got out of the scene when I became more interested in programming in general.

I never was 'amazing' like some of the stuff you see out there but I did decent. Still have my tracker of choice installed too...

Tracking always was fun. :D
