Re: CAPTCHA issues upon registration
I really dont like the google captchas stuff.
Its not always working as it should.
Google is known to track user which means if you include google frames they likely can track ros users.

Do you have an organisational Department?
Hei, I wonder if you have a department that spends its time completely with thinking about organisation topics as example: How can we organize the system to supply the required money for professionals to actively develop the project? How do we advertise to increase traffic and channel more volunteer...

I looked everything up for curiosity: Etoro has an OVERWHELMING rating on trustpilot with 1 star.
Certainly a site to be careful about and from what i did read and in my estimation its unlikely to see currency coming from it...

Re: New developers integrating structure
Then, you can look at an interesting "starter-project" in your list of bug reports: https://jira.reactos.org/issues/?jql=la ... er-project i looked it through. This are mainly bug reports. Sorry to say that but i am not so much interested in hunting bugs i would rather write something new....

Bugs as development target?
Hello, In the developing introduction https://reactos.org/developing#subsystems you write: Implementing the Win32 API provides a particular challenge to anyone hoping to get involved in this area, in that it has to mimic Windows versions of the Win32 API completely. This means not only implementing ...

New developers integrating structure
Hello, i am a .net developer and i think about adding a new project as time pass, i have not decided if i actually take up a new project and if it would be reactos. I did read on the site: https://reactos.org/developing However there is one little piece missing: Where to start. As example for reacto...

Re: We urgently need a beta
A layer that logs filesystem access and can match corrupted sectors to where the corruption came fromGuess best would be to make something that helps to find from where those corruptions are originate and fix it.

Re: We urgently need a beta
According to some info, in Europe there are some people that brings machines with Intel ME disabled by modifing the necesary components to just delete all possible components from Intel ME... What they do is enabling the HAP mode from U.S. government's High Assurance Platform (HAP) they say that di...

Re: We urgently need a beta
The question is of course if thats all, or if your hd manufacturer also has his own malware The solution is easy. You would also install the ReactOS as your HDD's OS. Turtles all the way down. https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/6059do/how_to_run_linux_on_your_hard_disk_firmware/ Here the quote...

Re: We urgently need a beta
There is the little problem that windows is not the deepest malware but intel does ship with an extra subsystem that can take control over the computer means that unless ros does actively disable this the computer would itself still be malware. The question is of course if thats all, or if your hd m...

Re: Read only os pro and cons
yes this combined with a tool which helps the user to create installations and maintain them from this installation.
Note the original idea was a bit different but a normal installation of a live cd and some tools could get a similar effect

Re: Read only os pro and cons
Live cd will not work with my netbook or any other and there are cases when live cds not work. Plus if a file is corrupted it is easier to install the os on the hd than to copy the file from a cd. Also my other suggestion is a repair and install tool that runs out of the live cd and installs a read ...

Re: Read only os pro and cons
Haos might be right that it is out of scope. So i thought about it a while and in the end i think a normal live cd like ros installed protected on hd can do something very similar. So i suggest to install a vanilla version of ros which is readonly on the harddisk. This will be the rescue and maintai...
