Re: Should we work on the UI?

Not specifically, but I noticed one of the biggest alpha 'holes' is consistancy in the GUI, but I know some good people are working on this. I just hope time isnt invested to make it /beyond xp/ instead of making it work :P

Re: What if...

Windows 95? You mean, no USB support, no real .net, no IE, Chrome or FF support (officially), unstable, unable to support large drives before R2, etc etc.

Re: What if...

Trust me, we're anything from big.
Personally I'd love to donate, though I'm not sure how much needs to be donated (time, money, etc) before we can get this project moving faster, if thats even possible. I'm impatient :)

Re: Should we work on the UI?

I figured, and I wasnt assuming it wasnt alpha.

The only thing I really did was use open things like explorer.exe in vs.net and mess with dialog boxes, but I assume that /really/ disqualifies me :?:

Re: Hyper-V success (limited)

Odd, I was thinking about doing this myself, since I'm throwing up a H-v server up soon.

FYI windows treats the mouse as priority uno over ANYTHING, why when your system locks up your mouse happily keeps working.

control applets

Should this be a bug?

Run doesnt fire off control panel applets:

start>run>appwiz.cpl or timedate.cpl etc.

Re: media centre

To keep it "real" we'd have to someday clone MCE/Green Button, though there is always room for improvement!

Re: 2014 opportunity

My $20 worth (2 cents is so 1850) USB can pass through to client O/S systems in any virtual environment, so USB->LPT2 or USB HASP devices still work, we use them where I work. Windows 7/8/etc come with decent win32 support and can run 'xp mode' so your argument is moot, however a date would be great...

Re: Abandoned Longhorn - new face of ReactOS?

If anything, I'd suggest we at least include a whistler theme (xp beta) as it was 9000 times better than candy barbie xp that shipped.

Re: Should we work on the UI?

I too would like to help, some things in reactos just look "off" - I know, its beta, but I dont want sit by idle and watch it drag on, I'm tired of paying $100+ per machine for windows - most expensive part even after a $200 video card :P During my younger years I spent my time resource ha...

Re: PackageManager is [not] dead, long live 'Download !'

Keep the old name, I like it more if this is to make it into corporate environments. If it works on windows, I may consider donating because win32 sucks without a package bundler!

Re: Setup give blank screen after loading ext2.exe

I too have this problem, but after wiping my drive nothing changed. Why include a textmode driver/program that doesnt work yet? WTF
