Re: Proposals for REALLY pushing this project forward
But no, the project doesn't need a bunch of loose cannons who wouldn't know what to do with themselves when they find they can't aimlessly mangle the project any way they want like they do with linux and it's API/ABI The majority of Linux kernel developers are not working on Linux for the sake of c...

Re: Proposals for REALLY pushing this project forward
The only remotely realistic thing I see happening is for China to fund the project on the grounds that it takes a money stream away from a U.S. company. It is not going to happen. Microsoft isn't even in the top 49 money-making companies in the world. But I'm unable to find out what is the currentl...

Re: Proposals for REALLY pushing this project forward
Are you talking about those things like need to use terminal with textual commands for tasks which you can accomplish via GUIs in Windows? They however seek to create a different user experience than that what Windows provides

Re: Proposals for REALLY pushing this project forward
Isn't counter-compiling Windows for the purpose of learning about it in order to implement those things in ReactOS banned? I hoped that some of the Linux developers are unhappy with the fact that Linux never won on desktops and notebooks market, so idea of "free Windows" would be more enti...

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] ReactOS as a second OS in Russian governm
I dislike this news.
ReactOS is going to be drawn into political battle between USA and Russia (Microsoft vs. ReactOS Foundation). Politics is generally quite nasty thing.

Re: You Have No Idea How Bad I Want This to Work
On Wikipedia there's information that ReactOS only supports NTFS reading.
One more thing: maybe you should abandon work on OS and website translation, at least for the time being? It kind of drive attention away from central focus: making ReactOS functional.

Re: You Have No Idea How Bad I Want This to Work
Why are added typical Linux things, like support for ReiserFS? Wouldn't be wiser to work, for example, on full support for NTFS?

Running ReactOS Explorer in Windows
I'm trying to familiarize myself with ReactOS as much as I can, so I've downloaded it's equivalent of Windows Explorer - ReactOS Explorer to use it as my main file explorer on Windows XP SP3. I have few questions: - Is there a danger that it will corrupt/delete files? - Is there binary version of la...

Re: [Video] Opera 9.64 running on ReactOS
Is this ReactOS one real hardware? What about Opera 10.60? Not starting, too much buggy or crashing?

Re: ReactOS and USB
One question out of pure curiosity: Let's suppose we have developer who is only familiar with C/C++, but do not know nothing about USB and how to implement it into ReactOS, however he wants to start doing it. Where should he start? Should he first read USB Specification at http://www.usb.org/develop...
