Re: Was uns alles für 0.4 erwartet

i took a look at notepad++ and i must say that its user interface would require clean up before i would want it to be a replacement for a simple editor. of course i can imagine a professional tool as simple editor too, but it is difficult to bring both things under one hat, because usability itself ...

[...] Do you know if the source code is available and under which license? Or any contact information. I found only the following contact info: http://unix.hsr.ch/kontakt.html [...] The information (on namesys.com) about Reiser4 looks very promising. Although, afaik Reiser4 is licensed under MIT li...

I just found a Reiser4 file system porting project to Windows XP: http://unix.hsr.ch/Studienarbeiten/WS05/glatz_hosang_k...

i'd say, implement reiser4 first to make use of the full filesystem api. the reiser4 linux implementation has a very clean code and might not be difficult to port. a side effect may be great attention to this project by many people because of implementing this new godlike file system. of course ntfs...

it's just that important because there isn't any free implementation of the win16 api yet. well maybe os/2 might have a higher priority for the same reason too. .net is pretty important because newer windows software will be .net. an implementation could be managed by either porting dotgnu or mono. ...

It doesn't say it needs it to run, and you can say "No Java VM" and it'll install, but with a notice that some (probably minor) functionality will be disabled. as far i know some i/o filters are written in java. maybe it's the common way to keep platform consistency for closed source liba...
