remember that's also still a problem in Linux, which still come with closed source sound driver and the open ones are even up to now a niche player. Sorry, but that is just plain incorrect. The vast majority of all sound drivers for Linux are open source and even in-tree (that is, they ship with th...

It seems I have have already read everything you have. I am delighted to see that I have not missed anything regarding Linux-NTFS and NTFS-3G. Thank you for taking the time to gather all the links for everyone to see. I thought you mentioned about hearing of either the official Linux-NTFS software o...

Read the related mailing list and then you will see that it has only partial write support and mess around with NTFS (so that you have to boot WinNT to fix the partition MFT, etc.). I've been following the Linux-NTFS project quite closely and today is the first time I ever learned of NTFS-3G. Where...

NTFS-Linux driver is GPL we could have a case of GPL breach. Basicly as soon as they release the binary to the public source should be aquirable. If he is the copyright owner (which is likely), he has every right to license his code as closed source. Not that I would not want his apparently paid wo...

Hmm, weird. Suddenly I ceased to experience the Firefox problem with QEMU - now I can browse all right even without moving the mouse around. Works well. For some reason the window won't minimize. However, I got this BSOD after browsing for a while: A problem has been detected and ReactOS has been sh...

I have now tested the new release both with QEMU 0.8.1 + kqemu-1.3.0pre8 with and without kernel code virtualization. I also tested with pure emulation, but the results didn't change except for dramatic difference in speed. Kudos to QEMU for the kernel code virtualization, it makes all the differenc...

Ehdottaisin ...

Maybe this (index = -1) isn't implemented in ReactOS yet. It most probably is since the error message is due to an exception fired by the VCL (Borland Visual Component Library). If ReactOS ignored the situation, the application might just fail silently. Actually, I'm not sure if ReactOS is even ask...

A DHCP client - I'm a net addict, my IP changes. Besides, I have failed to set up networking for ReactOS in VMWare (the instructions referred to a nonexistant menu option) and I am completely frustrated with editing the registry by hand with the buggy register editor app. Everything else is bearable...

Kyllä, ainakin minä. Lukeudun faneihin - itse käyttistä en ole kovin paljoa tullut kokeilleeksi muutaman minuutin testiajoja lukuunottamatta. Translation into English: Yes, at least I am one. I'd describe myself as a fan of ReactOS - I haven't used the OS that much except for a few minutes' test run...
