The ReactOS shell is currently not very complete. Most non-trivial batch scripts fail to run properly. As is said, i haven't done anything big with the WINEs shell, but perhaps it might work better to run complex batch scripts? Also, wcmd is actually a Win32 application. It should be compatible wit...

One of the core mono developers has had it running.
Chris had it work with many screen shots. I was also able to install it on vanilla ROS a few months back when Chris was working with it.

I am rather new to ReactOS having seen a link from OSNews.com. As far as I have been able to understand, ReactOS is using the FAT filesystem. I see a po...

The cache manager is what is holding this driver up. Hartmut, who no longer appears to be part of ROS and Filip, who is quite busy, are the ones working on the cache manager rewrite. Probably going to be a while it gets done.

Some of the hardware it emulates doesnt play well with ROS at the moment. Im sure at some point it will come around but until then you dont really support it.

I'm pretty new to open source and big project like ReactOS. Is cmd the easiest to work with? or are there even easier one. I agree with what you say, start from the beginning and work my way up. I think that CMD.exe is the easiest part of the code to work on. It is a simple commandline C program th...
