Re: BSOD when downloading large files
You said that you were using -msvc.iso
You can only use Windbg on an msvc iso. There's your problem. Use a gcc build to use anything other than Windbg.

Re: Call for translators!!!
A couple of things: 1) I'm sure Chikensoup is one of those spam bots. 2) Chikensoup violated forum rule #5 by reopening a 2 year old topic. I wouldn't have wasted the time to reply. 3) Wine is known for the dumbest mistakes in their code and I found mistakes in the English resource file after it was...

Re: Source Code Problem
I don't know if this is the right place. I am looking for ReactOS source code. ( Version 0.4.3 ) But I have found the links to SVN source only. ( That's no problem ) But I don't think this source is the pure source of version 0.4.3. ( I mean it may be an updated version ) Is there any SVN or normal...

Re: Switch to PlayOnLinux or Q4Wine?
I was just wondering, when ReactOS gets closer to stable releases, do you think we could switch to PlayOnLinux or Q4Wine instead of Wine Staging? Both of them are more simplified, easy to use, and have GUI, so it would be better and easier for Windows users. PlayOnLinux: https://www.playonlinux.com...

Re: ReactOS 0.4.2 and + Source Code
Well I understand, but I expect that ReactOS source code will be released regularity as a .7z or .zip format since I visited the SVN pages but I could not download all the code in a compressed archiver. Could you show ,if there is, the way with screenshots? https://reactos.org/wiki/Subversion @Emua...

Re: ReactOS 0.4.2 and + Source Code
Hi, I want to know why versions 0.4.2 and 0.4.1 Source Code of ReactOS is not available to download in Sourceforge.net as version 0.4.0 has? 'ReactOS-0.4.2-src.zip' ? And will the source code of version 0.4.3 be released? ('ReactOS-0.4.3-src.zip') I think the team is very busy and they had not time...

Re: transferring files through qemu to reactos guest
is there a way to use qemu to do transfer files to reactos if it is a virtual machine? either by using virt-manager or qemu itself? Virtualbox is not really an option due to my type of bios. (Libreboot) Maybe copy the files to an ISO image and attach it to the VM? how would I do that exactly? never...

Yeap. Mount the CD in the VM and run the installer. Whether or not the installer/game works is a completely different story.philthethrill wrote:Thanks DougLyons. Is there any way I can install and play CD games?

Re: 'NET USE' command
I've read that the implementation is a bit raw yet. What works and what don't? You can mount VBox shares but can you mount regular shares too? Thats very big news!! Gonna test it tomorrow first... I tried to mount a non-VBox share for lols and it didn't work. I wonder if we could hack samba-tng and...

Slow development and backup of patches
I've noticed lately that development has really slowed down and the amount of patches committed is nearly 0. This is proven by the graph on JIRA: http://i.imgur.com/GyQe5M5.png We could easily decrease the amount of open tickets by committing the smaller patches such as translations or minor GUI fix...

You can't install ReactOS from a LiveCD. It simply does not contain the proper files to do an install. As of right now, ReactOS can not be installed from a LiveCD or any other ReactOS boot media. It's not implemented and it won't be implemented for some time.
