//Offtopic: No, as a general rule smaller tools that do one thing well, are better than one humungous tool that sometimes feels like getting a steamroller to straighten out the carpet Thats why I like bash so much. U can use scripts and make several simple tools to cooperate and do great job togeth...

Ok, so it looks like I can put Firefox in there legally. Ill first just make this for the live cd since it will probably be easier, then Ill try the install cd. Ill also look into changing the default bg image.

Unless my site is currently leaking out through my network, it is not up yet. Thanx for the tip, Meklort, I had best try that. 192.168.1.101 is not very easy to remember. XP also likes to take a nap when I test it with more that 15 computers. 192.168.x.x is a local subnet, make sure if you want it ...

My server that I promised is almost up. Now if I can figure out how my system can build it's own iso image with some of my own mods is a different matter. Does anyone know how to configure Apache 2.0.59 to run it's own domain name without an outside source? My system is DELL (hold breath) XPS !!! X...

Nightly Builds / Misc Website stuff

I've been thinking about starting up my nightly build server again (with a faster internet connection). Because the svn server does generic builds, is this wanted / needed. Also, if it is, would you like to see anything special with it such preinstalled w firefox, qemu, vmware player, or even ppc bu...

AFAIK there is no set date for reactos 1.0. Personally, I would expect anywhere from 2 to 5 years, or more.

I saw that earlier today. It would be awesome if it works on reactos. While we are at it, I'll have to test if reactos can run starcraft some time.

In windows you can slipstream service packs and I'm sure driver into the cd. In reactos, you can always add the drivers you need to the cd. Also, if the drivers are open source, they may be included in reactos, if not, reactos will most likely have generic drivers for hardware that it needs for an i...

If windows supports it, reactos will be able to use it.

I'd like to make a slightly off topic response. From on my experiences on these formus a couple of things can be concluded. The first is that ReactOS will never incorporate a 3rd party shell. the second my thoughts on why: Unlike Linux, ReactOS does not want to just through together 70 different pro...
