Re: ntoskrnl extender project

We already have AHCI support, we have a xhci driver (usb 3.0), but it's not finished, and for nvme, I would suggest this instead: https://sourceforge.net/projects/nvme-f ... 03-server/

Re: [SUGGESTION] What about a (free) CodeGuru review?

Ya, I don't think it's really necessary. If they were going to do it just for the 90 day fee charge, they would need someone using it full-time. Plus they already got quite a few analyzers, msvc and gcc come with some, plus they got coverity and I think even someone used cppcheck in the past. Also w...

GSOC 2020

Well, that time of the year again. GSOC time! Let's go ahead and track the progress here like we did last year. Applications started on the 14th and are due the 5th of February. Hopefully, ReactOS, Wine, and Freetype get accepted again.

Re: So impressed by ReactOS 0.4.14

I am a bit confused here. You refer to ReactOS 0.4.14 but on the website latest available release is 0.4.12. Where did you get your 0.4.14 from? It's a development build not a real release yet. Those builds are nightlies from the latest master on Github. Anything from master right now is .4.14, bec...

NVMe on Win2003

I found this driver patch for win2003. Apparently, someone managed to get nvme working on win2003 for a Samsung 960 EVO. Could this be used to get nvme working on ReactOS also?

Re: Sandboxie being open sourced

1. Why does ReactOS need a Sandbox component? Most people do not need this and there are few things that work well under a Sandbox. Also, I know Chromium already has a sandbox under the hood. 2. Sandboxie is only half supported by Sophos, so who will maintain it if/when it does open-source? 3. Sandb...

Re: ReactOS on Patreon?

You seem to be missing the point that this is about monthly donations. So "do a one time thing" like shipping hardware is not a good reward. Ya your right. I have seen people do one time things on patreon before, but I have no idea how they work out. Maybe save that kind of hardware for l...

Re: ReactOS on Patreon?

Eh, I don't think we should do splash screen. Desktop background sounds good. I am thinking probably like this: 5=Name on a wiki page with other patreons 10=Name on first page (Would anyone be able to manage this?) 20=Name on desktop background would be good. 50/100=Not sure. Application in your nam...

Re: Read this if you've found software useful to ReactOS

Reactos need a chinese input, unispim is a opensourece Chinese input method, but it can not run in reactos. https://github.com/thunisoft/unispim Ask Katayama Hirofumi MZ in ReactOS Chat , he is working on CJK support. He has done such great work these past years. If ReactOS is looking to hire, I vo...

Re: ReactOS on Patreon?

2+ year old post mate. Anyways looking back, I still think it would be a interesting idea. Maybe have 1$ option, 5$ with a section you can put these people names in as thanks, 10$ can access maybe a private chat or something, 20$ not sure, maybe name on first page of website, then maybe like a 50$ w...

Re: Best web browser for ROS is Mypal?

Have you tried newer versions of those browsers? Firefox 52.9 was the last to run on XP and the MyPal version of RAPPs seems to be a really outdated version. There has been many updates since then.

Re: ROS applications

I am not sure what you mean. Everything here is either built from scratch by the ReactOS developers or is used from third party tools. The big third party tools ReactOS uses are Wine, uniata, fastfat, winbtrfs, and acpica. Then there are other, more smaller libraries ReactOS uses, such as mbedtls, l...

Re: Fix of the Week

Well no one has posted anything in here in a long while, so I will go ahead and see if we can start this back up again. Not necessarily a "fix", but I was quite happy when I came on earlier and saw this. Latest commits from Eric Kohl added the start to DNS caching and flushing. https://git...

Re: ReactOS 0.4.12 installer troubleshooter pc?

ReactOS targets Windows XP/Server 2003, and FF 69.0.3 doesn't support it. Try using an older build of Firefox, check out Applications Manager shortcut on desktop. But why clone XP and server 2003? its it very old? Many hardware\software did not works longer in XP. And its a issue (big) issue with s...
