There are probably some valid points to make, but the majority of tests you could do will vastly change, the disk space required will surely swell however if you can find enough useful references then good luck to you and I hope it all goes well. That is true with any test, right now I am just soli...

:!: Why to use ROS over Vista Whitepaper
Greatings and Salutations All! I am drafting an industry white paper for my Corporation on why it is better in the long term to install, use, invest and support ROS over Vista. I feel the best way to gather the best supportive evidence is through this ROS community. All information given will be pro...

Whats the big deal with IPv6 ? Obiviously you are not following the changes in the market, to give you a few very public areas where IPv6 IS A VERY BIG DEAL. China is the converting it's entire networks to IPv6 to include their celluar infrastructure. Japan just let 6.5 Billion contract to Juniper ...

ROS is alpha quality. Not only that, 0.3.0 is heavily outdated compared to 0.3.1, which is currently awaiting a major fix. There really isn't any way to add support for SMP and IPv6 if the kernel isn't more stable/complete. It'll be at least 0.5.0 before major work in that area picks up. That is go...

Long Term Plans for ReacOS
Greetings: Not to speak out of turn, but has there been any thought about long term plans for REACTOS, I understand it is a volunteer effort. But I think it would be helpful to really know the long term plans. That way backwards planning and the low hanging fruit can be identified and then addressed...

Dual AMD & IPv6 not working in ReactOS 0.3.0
Just in case I might be doing something wrong I am noticing on the current verision of REACTOS it doesn't see both my AMD Opertrons it only sees 1 CPU and there seems to be no IPv6 support.
Is this correct? Or Did I miss configure?
If it is correct, where are these features on the road map?

Wine
Actually I think you are misunderstanding what we are doing the issue with ReactOS and WINE itself to outline, what we could do on previous version of reactos is change the following: \Program Files\ to \Applications\ \Settings and Documents\ to \Profiles We use to change this in earlier versions of...

Issue w/ WINE

IPv6 Support
Greetings: I notice with the latest version of ReactOS that IPv6 is still not support, this would be a very practical and logical support feature to add whereas IPv6 is becoming more mainstream. And frankly MS does IPv6 in a really awful way; I would love to see ReactOS implement IPv6 in a more sens...

ReactOS and SMP
Greetings:
I don't if I am asking this inthe right forum, but I have search all of the databases and can't find the answer to this question:
When will ReactOS be supporting SMP for both Dual AMD and DUAL Intel based workstations?
IS this even on the road map yet?
thanks!

I went into lib/shell32 to change the variables and liek I said that works in the older versions of ROS. But with 0.2.7 something significant had to change, because the system now crashes when those same edits that work in 0.2.6 are made in 0.2.7. I went to WINE homepage as well as do another search...

I agree with you and now you see my problem, some where in the code some programmer or a group of programmers some how hard coded some where those folders because I changed every where where I can find those folders in the source code and the system will not even compile, and in very few attempts th...

Problems in Making a REACTOS Distro
Greetings: I have been working on making my own distro of ReactOS. I have made some progress on 0.2.5 & 0.2.6 but when I upgrade my source code to 0.2.7 with my edits something broke and I can't find it and the documentation with 0.2.7 (in respect of making a ReactOS distro) is not there. This i...
