BTW, that would also be a good chance for me to get the source for at least 0.2.9. I have a knowledge of C, but I'm weak on Win API. Maybe, I could look at ROS Apps source to get a bit more knowledge of that. I would recommend you to download trunkXXXX.rar from http://svn.reactos.org/. That is a we...

I got 0.2.9 and the latest SVN nightly build from the link at the wiki. I tested it, but there is still some software I would like to try. I'll post some screenshots somewhere on the web (probably my blog) in next couple of days. So if someone praticulary likes what he sees, you're free to put them ...

You're mixing the terms. Linux is the kernel only. But looking at Linux like that it's not an OS. Linux doesn't have it's distributions - GNU/Linux does. GNU/Linux is the name of a complete OS. Linux is only the kernel. That's where you are wrong. No, your mixing the terms. Your right, Linux is not...

That's wrong. Linux is the kernel only. GNU tools are exactly that, they are not Linux but part of a Linux distribution. You're mixing the terms. Linux is the kernel only. But looking at Linux like that it's not an OS. Linux doesn't have it's distributions - GNU/Linux does. GNU/Linux is the name of...

Wait a minute. Linux is not only a kernel. Why? Because you forget that GNU part. Actually, every GNU/Linux distribution relies on the two parts: kernel (Linux) and shell (GNU). The fact you know Linux without that GNU part is because of the past marketing decisions by some distributor...

ReactOS distros make no sense, this isn't Linux .... I can't agree with you. Mainly because it's not only Linux that comes in one or more distros... Man... It's Open Source... Open Source licence means anybody can (if he wishes) put together a distro. So, it is possible. That's what FOS movement is...

The question about translating the wiki
I originally posted this in theme called "translation", but I guess nobody saw it... So I'm asking again. Please do answer. I'm holding of the translation currently because some things are confusing me. I have the question about translating the wiki. Are there any guidelines about that. I ...

Linuxes try too look like windows (thouh not nearly as functional) Some of the Linuxes. If you mean of GUI look-alikes, MS didn't write the GUI by themselves... They actually reverse engineered it. First roots of desktop computing comes from Xerox and it's famous PARC (Palo Alto Research Centre). B...

I don't have intention to insult anyone with this words. Just trying to explain my point of view. :) No, it's not a money problem. It's freedom call. I agree. Closed source is not an option. Especially if it is shareware... The way Windowses work and their licenses actually justify using closed sour...
