Re: Microsoft .NET Framework

I have downloaded the .net framework about 2 weeks ago, from a website that said that it was redistrubutable, the file was called dotnetfx.exe, which is something like 22Mb (dotnetfx32.exe is only about 2Mb and requires you to download files). The dotnetfx.exe does not run in revision 51472, at leas...

Re: Penguin Command (action shooter)

I have looked at another logfile and it ends in the same text: "(dll/ntdll/ldr/utils.c:2117) Failed to create or open dll section of 'winejoystick.drv' (Status c0000135)". When I run in logfile mode, I do not get a bsod, the desktop just freezes. When run in normal mode, I get the same bsod message ...

I have been able to install and run Penguin Command (a missile command clone http://sourceforge.net/projects/penguin-command/ ) without any problems. But when I run a screen capture programme (MWSnap http://www.snapfiles.com/php/download.php?id=102317&a=7112705&tag=658771&loc=2 ), I get a bsod when ...

ReactOS does not seem to report the correct OS

When trying to install Internet Explorer I get this message "Internet Explorer 8 is not supported on this operating system" ( see http://www.reactos.org/wiki/images/4/40/IE.png ) and when installing the correct drivers for the mother board I get this message "The Intel(R) Chipset Software Installati...

Re: Problems with the install on react os

If it fails to install the first time, then try again. If it then fails to install after having tried 3 or 4 times, I would suggest trying a newer revision. I have found that some revisions do not always install the first time. Also I would not use a new computer; get an older one, so if Ros destroy...

Re: Bsod when booting revision 48509

Since when are you following the project? For about 10 years or so, when Jason Filby was the co-ordinator and Ros booted into a blue screen. But for many years I was not in a position to down load Ros. It is only within the past year that I have been doing some testing with software. BSOD was imple...

Re: Bsod when booting revision 48509

What software did you try to install, that ended up in bugcheck (BSOD)? Java jre, the version I cannot remember (I am away from my test computer). It Bsoded at the first installation window, when I clicked to close the explorer window. In the past, before the Bsod screen was implemented, I would ge...

Re: Bsod when booting revision 48509

Try resetting several times the computer, eventually try also with 48517.
I have switched off after a bsod and then switched back on again and it booted ok.
I have installed 48518 from Caemyr, and get a bsod when trying to install software.
Only tried a couple of programmes before giving up.

I have just followed your link and clicked on the box where the small image should be and the large image appeared in the correct place.
I have this same trouble.

Re: Motherboard driver failure

Thanks for the advice wojo664, I did not know that that is what 'code' did here, it's not the same as html.

I have been unable to edit my post, because there is no edit icon showing, only the 'report this post' icon.
