Re: unpack modify repack BootCD ISO

Another commonly proposed use case is adding files to the ReactOS BootCD so they are available on the ReactOS Desktop (or in a specified folder) after ReactOS itself is installed. I would use such a feature as a workaround for the inability of ReactOS to use the file I/O devices on many computers b...

Re: RosBE questions

(a) mkisofs.exe (b) I have a slightly different usecase, but what I do to create an iso with my testdata is this: R:\build\master\msvc\host-tools\mkisofs.exe -no-cache-inodes -iso-level 4 -volid TestData -o %~dp0\shared_data.iso %~dp0\data This script is in the same dir that the iso will end up, and...

Re: Connect to internet in Reactos

Dear dizt3mp3r, In the open-source world, 2 years ago is like 2 weeks ago. If you don't believe me, just have a look at this ticket which was opened in 2010 and fixed in 2015: https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-4852 And I didn't awake this "dead" thread for fun, but because I commented on it 2 ye...

Re: 60th specific reason for wanting ReactOS:

Re: GitHub, old (XP/S2003) browser support

ReactOS targets Windows Server 2003 SP2, mainly. I use Firefox ESR 52.9.0 on Windows XP. FF 53+ needs Win 7+. It seems GitHub recently dropped basic support for at least this kind of old browsers. For example, I can't edit my own PR comments or reply to a PR conversation, anymore. Can anyone confir...

To add to that:
daily builds contain more features, but also more bugs!

Our releases contain a ton of carefully crafted workarounds to known problems that are in our development builds.

On windows, there is no excuse not to use visual studio.
On linux, the closest you will get to that is probably 'Visual Studio Code'.

What about the event that there is a massive flooding around the globe and everyone loses their code?

Do we have any plans for a backup?
