ROS Recycle bin has super powers!

Reactos version 58787 (in real hardware not a 'vm') I have discovered that the contents of the recycle bin display even when the files have been deleted months ago and after several installs (with ros format). I have even used dos to format the drive, then re-installed ros, to see if that solved the...

Re: Cannot Remove ReactOS from my computer

Has the computer got a floppy drive, if so, have you got a windows start floppy. If so, then use fdisk and delete the partition(s), then create a new partition. You should now (if the bios boots the cdrom) be able to install another os.

Re: Bsod with LibreOffice 3.3.1

I have found another programme (sysldr.exe) that when installed will not allow the computer to boot, goes so far, then ends with a bsod. The revision is the same (58478) and the log shows that 'smss' is involved. What does this 'smss' do, or is that too complicated? Debug log below (Reactos booting)...

Bsod with LibreOffice 3.3.1

Having installed LibreOffice 3.3.1, (which appears to have been successful), I then rebooted the computer before I tried to run LibreOffice 3.3.1. I am now getting a bsod during the boot process. It seems to have stuck at 'smss'. The bsod says that a thread or process has exited which is vital to th...

Re: ReactOS Developing Jokes

..... I assume the rodents are hamsters, since I couldn't spot any tails, though that is a bad angle. I know the easy rule of rodent identification. Gerbils have hairy tails, mice and rats have pink, bald tails, and hamsters have no tails (not more than a tiny nub). They are guinea pigs (Cavia porc...

Re: Wanted the particular app to get screenshots in ReactOS.

This http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html usually works in Reactos, but it needs to be installed.

Does anyone know if TransOS is a new OS or is it based on Linux (unix) or ReactOS or other OS. It is being developed in China.

From what I read, they had a custom cms called roscms which was being dropped for druple, but now they are going with http://typo3.org/ . Please do not use abusive language when you next post. Re: Does anybody else experience connection problems w/ foru

I have experienced a delay in loading another page at odd times recently, but I use the local library to access the internet, so is this due to their network, in my case.

Post by andreas84 » 09 Aug 2012 13:45 Right now you cannot install it on normal hardware and i think we should wait till it is possible to do so before we install it on public computers... This is false! I have been installing it for years, ok, some revision don't install, but most that I have trie...

Re: ReactOS Diskettes

by PurpleGurl » 04 Aug 2012 08:07 A couple things come to mind as I read this. They might want a way to get a floppy to launch from the CD from cold boot in machines that don't support this. In that case, format a diskette under DOS and add any necessary CD drivers (the hardware driver in config.sy...
