Re: Druaga1 is Installing New ReactOS on 3 Computers (0.4.6)

You seem to be forgetting that virtual machines: 1) provide an excellent & fast environment for developers and testers 2) provide consistent hardware to ensure the software is working correctly before being introduced to hardware bugs 3) are actually used in production as data centers etc and a...

Re: Druaga1 is Installing New ReactOS on 3 Computers (0.4.6)

VMs are good for testing only for VM targetting. Using them for testing his/her OS, one ends up with his/her OS being able to run only on VMs. The whole idea of HV is wrong. It's a time and resource consuming waste, not giving anything useful in return. Shout out to people willing to keep doing real...

Re: Long term compex problems from bootloader and kernel wor

No, val. No ARM port. By the way, a guy like you could port ReactOS to ARM, right? A bunch of them maybe, but not just one. :) It's much harder to participate in a project trying to be binary compatible with NT. Than to the project that just tries to make an NT-like system. Every function provided ...

Re: Long term compex problems from bootloader and kernel wor

But does ARM based computer's have any UEFI/EFI? ( Beagleboard, Raspberry Pi, Wandboard ) What will happen then? Shouldn't devs keep multiboot? They don't have mutiboot either. For example Beagle boards use uboot, I believe RPi and Wandboard do too. It's a total mess capable of only booting linux. ...

Re: Long term compex problems from bootloader and kernel wor

The same dirty trick as linux system pull when running new filesystems. there is nothing worse in OS development than to mimick "dirty tricks" of linux. it's really hard to understand what exactly you suggest. here is the note I wanted to express still. Filesystem implementation in the lo...

Point taken - Offer withdrawn. Won't waste my time on this hobby project anymore. Please delete my profile. don't get why you would expect from a non-commercial project be something else. as an ordinary user you just use Windows and be happy. never ever something both complex as OS is and "fre...

Re: Windows is poor when performing disc i/o - ReactOS too?

You don't know what hangs your GUI (if it does) and don't want to know. Hi val I also don't know. But I would like to learn from someone who already knows. Are you asking me why dizt3mp3r's computers hang, when he burns CDs and searches for something on them? Sorry, my crystal ball is temporarily u...

Re: Windows is poor when performing disc i/o - ReactOS too?

oh, boi. I'd love to hear that this problem is unheard of in Win10 It's unheard on the prevoius versions too. You don't know what hangs your GUI (if it does) and don't want to know. Rather, you keep make yourself a laughingstock creating silly topics here nobody will be taking seriously. It's not in...

Re: Windows is poor when performing disc i/o - ReactOS too?

dizt3mp3r, 1) your ideas and conclusions about Windows I/O (disk in particluar) are wrong. reading them it readily becomes obvious that you have no idea what you are talking about. maybe try to learn the topic if you are interested. shotgunning new topics is cool, education is better. Just to not ma...

thank you. it was refreshing and fun to read about that. seems like they have over"diversified" themselves a little. it's hilarious to see how they supposedly fight "inequality" with methods sounding like blatant racists' ones from years ago. maybe "white women" should ...

Re: Benefits of GitHub?

I tried git for Windows. Not even digging into any practical use, just cloned some tiny project. But even typing elementary commands makes spikes in CPU usage. Really? command line utility showing its version should eat up that much CPU? It derives its version from DNA deciphering or what? Literally...

no, he wants reactos reverse enginered and incorporated that bunch of dos fossiles he had uploaded for him. the key thing there I guess is that: Computer could communicate to computer by just making a phone call.
