Re: Number pad support?
There is no registry setting to enable the numeric keypad, it should just work. If it doesn't work for you, please consider creating a bug report through JIRA. The devs are unlikely to be able to diagnose your problem without more detailed information.

Re: games on ROS
Yes, something like 70 or 90 years. I don't think there is any software in existence that has fallen into the public domain solely due to 'old age'. (since software ain't around for that long). Correction, copyright expires a numbers of years after the owner dies or disappears . And in the case of ...

Actually, the was a Windows NT 3.1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_NT_3.1PurpleGurl wrote:Likewise 3.1 was not in the NT family.

Re: Have you any persistent bug(s) that irritate you?
It doesn't have to be a huge improvement over 0.3.16 to deserve to be called 0.4, it only has to be good enough to be reasonably considered 0.4. Many people were of the opinion that 0.3.16 deserved to be called 0.4, based on progress since 0.3.0, overall functionality, completeness, and progress to ...

Re: virus
To summarize, you dramatically reduce your odds of getting a virus by having good habits and exercising appropriate caution, but even the most careful user can still pick up a virus. A careful user will probably have less issues, spend less timing removing malware and reinstalling software, and lose...

Re: Have you any persistent bug(s) that irritate you?
Don't build up 0.4 too much in your mind. It will be a huge improvement over 0.3.0, but it won't be a huge change from 0.3.16 and the latest daily builds. As with every previous release, it will be incrementally better than the last one. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. 0.4...

Re: virus
Hopefully someday. For ROS to be fully compatible with Windows software, it should be able to do anything that a virus would try to do. Viruses typically try to do low level stuff that normal programs don't want or need to do, so being able to run Windows viruses would be a very great accomplishment...

Re: hello I have a queston about drivers
To clarify, it is the goal of the ReactOS developers that ReactOS should support all Windows XP/2003 drivers. Since ROS is currently in alpha stage, compatibility with all, or any specific Windows XP driver, is not guaranteed. As far as drivers shipping with ReactOS, it's not really possible to say ...

Re: Cannot use or install
That could be bad luck: ReactOS doesn't work with a lot of hardware. The vast majority of people run ROS in a virtualization suite (VMWare, VirtualBox, etc), and installing ROS on a real computer is not generally recommended, unless you have a dedicated testing computer that doesn't contain any data...

Re: [IGG] The ReactOne by Reactor Systems
I don't understand the point of this. It looks like you want people to give you $2000 to buy a bunch of hardware in an attempt to build a complete computer that can run ReactOS so that you can begin selling a ReactOS-compatible computer. It is often necessary for entrepreneurs to acquire venture cap...

Re: We need an official C compiler and assembler for ReactOS
In the early days, operating systems came with compilers so that your computer could actually do something. Until at least the time when BBSes were widespread and every town had a computer store, there was a good chance that the first program you ran on your computer was one that you wrote yourself....

Re: Question
There was never any timeframe for the delivery of RCE, so it's not possible to say how much longer it will take to release with $25,141 worth of funding than if it had received $50,000. It will be released when it meets the community's requirements, which depends on what software and hardware the co...
