Re: [IDEA] Hotspot functinality
Windows has had this ability forever, just look up ICS, internet connection sharing and then combine it with setting up an ad-hoc wireless network. I'm sure it will be included once someone writes the code. Also the programs linked are probably just wrappers to this existing functionality and entire...

Re: wubi .... ehm .. wrei (Windows-based Installer ReactOS)
This would currently be a very bad idea. I think ReactOS still has a nasty file system corruption bug that can corrupt files in user folders, it really shouldn't be running along side windows unless you don't mind losing both installations. There would also likely be some problems with Windows and R...

Re: EPIC WIN!
So blender provides a software opengl dll for download, which gets me to this: http://i.imgur.com/uIXdFPc.png DLL: http://download.blender.org/ftp/sergey/softwaregl/win32/ (Copy & Paste into folder with blender.exe) You have to move the window to make it draw the GUI, doesn't respond to input re...

Re: ReactOS and TrueCrypt
The situation is so weird, the most probable explanation so far is they were strongarmed to stop TC development (or to include a backdoor) and at the same time forced not to tell anybody. Mentioning BitLocker that only a small minority of Windows users has access to (it's only on Enterprise/Ultimat...

Re: [SUGGESTION] DVD-Audio support
Seems that v.1 of libDVD-Audio has been recently released: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libdvd-audio/ ...and here's some other - maybe useful - resources to reach the goal: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdadecoder/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvd-audio/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/map...

Re: ¿What happened here?
So... EmuandCo, did you find the request of inclusion? I wouldn't get your hopes up. While it is open source, they appear to have attached an app store to their software in order to make profits. It is unlikely they would want to deal with supporting users who don't read things like ROS is unstable...

Yes, its 0.3.17 (premade vmware package), where I can find these logs? Btw its starting REEEEAAALY slowly, maybe more than 5 minutes before steam login screen shows up (after that its slightly better, but still terribly slow) .For first time I thought that its not working, but I went away from pc f...

Re: Next Indigogo ideas?
On the other hand they would probably need less money and be better able to attract outside interest.Black_Fox wrote:There is the issue with smaller goals that there are smaller amounts of people willing to support them

Next Indigogo ideas?
The community edition didn't make it, but there still seems to be plenty of interest. Maybe things would work better if it had a smaller goal like make Steam work, or make CCCP work, but only have one going on at one time that can be donated to (unlike the community funded ideas that didn't work out).

Re: Sourceforge now bundling adware.
Possibly, but ReactOS does use them as the site to download official relases. And usually this stuff only gets a lot worse before it gets better.fred02 wrote:Belongs to Off-topic subforum?dark wrote:Are there any thoughts on this?

Sourceforge now bundling adware.
It appears that Sourceforge has now started encouraging project to use an installer that uses packs adware, bloatware, etc. More details here: http://www.gluster.org/2013/08/how-far- ... as-fallen/

Re: You guys need to speed up the development of ReactOS
Probably still working on that kickstarter thing that was supposed to be announced a month ago, maybe it's time for someone to just bite the bullet and stop trying to use a German non profit to fund things (especially since Kickstarter is only for US or UK). Either way, there would need to be some s...
