Re: Is ROS going towards OSS file system rather than NTFS?

If the FAT file system is stuck to then we've got a real barrier to serious partition size. FAT32 is pretty much a bloated FAT, only it allows us to put tons of files into a partition well enough that file creep eventually sets in and files eventually overlap each other and corrupt the whole MFT. I...

Re: I have one problem with ReactOS

All the API's that are straight from Windows' SDK are still copyrighted. I have no idea what's right and what's wrong. Are ReactOS legal? I see a GPL based clone of Windows NT without Microsoft's permission, and it's opened up for some major trouble. patented api? show me the documents and patent n...

Delfi, research the subsystem concept once more. You will understand. heh yeah i understand subsystems perfectly, but you are triying to force unix subsystem features into win32 subsystem -> no good, youre full of bullshit file extensions are way better than you, and they are not limited to just 3 ...

oh come on, why do you insist at unix-like file behavour? in this area you have to admit that windows does its job really better, it is much easier to compare those 3 letters against a registry file asociation table than checking whats in it.. this is especialy useful on removable drives like scratc...

I think something more structured as far as appearance and description to the end user will become of higher value as ROS becomes more end usable. -uniQ sure i agree on that, but you don't have to clone whole winNT bsod, give us something more in reactos ;) btw, i invented a patent in my bsod scree...

HeH, that's amusing, and I like it. However you'll have to provide more info upfront (Exactly what win32k.sys did, etc, etc) and maybe remove some of the un-PC commentary ;) -uniQ yeah, i was too lame to rewrite text from actual bsod and put that stuff in, it should have real description in there, ...
