the setup application is probably the greatest thing in reactos, and the
freeloader is also a lot better than grub, lilo or any other boot loader.

windows installer installations to work and driver management, MMC (or RMC )
isdn wan, dialup support etc..

and ofcourse..

- improved gdi subsystem
- new win32k subsystem

lazarus kinda works in reactos: http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/ the ide is buggy and graphical glitches appear all over the place, maybe it is just the vmware machine vga driver.. i couldn't install it properly because it uses msi installer but copying worked a bit, i couldn't compile things due ...

who needs ntfs? use fat32 and you can rescue things from dos when it collapses

at the moment to set win2k classic icons in winxp, along with resource hacker for some of the more difficult jobs (start button, explorer icon, etc). holy shit, another one, i did that too but i use windows nt 4 "cool" icons :shock: i even replaced the "folder" explorer's s butt...

Just wondering, what makes 16bit apps more dangerous to the system folder and registry than 32bit apps? I'm not sure if there is anything bad about that, but i do know lots of 16bit apps try and access the hardware directly wich is not allowed. so lets block them like windows does.. you have to ask...

i'd suggest you grab shell32.dll for a list of what icons you need

the my computer icon is realy cool too, add some application windows on it maybe..

why on the earth does everyone want linux and unix features in
reactos that is windos clone that doesn't even have enough stable
subsystem to be able to reproduce at at least 1/10 of windows functionality..

What about adding a light Red, Green, Yellow, Blue shading to the area inside the 4 quadrants of the "electron paths" around it. Because I don't like to imitate the Windows logo like Delfi and Viator do. Also, this is the official logo on Reactos.com and it's not open to modifications :)....
