EULA ... next we can't click a mouse unless it is on Windows ... The EULA guides most. (not us, we have ReactOS + GNU versions of Windows apps!) If anyone has ever read the EULA (I have), here are the worst lines. "Licensed to you ... Can terminate without warning ... Will be punished under the...

Quick thought. Most people use Windows because it is SIMPLE! I accidentally wiped my winXP drive once, and could never get Linux to work. I set up ReactOS, and it booted fast, quick, I knew how to use it, and everything I liked from Windows --JUST WORKED!-- .

Possibility, but we need more stability! Right now, we look like this: / . Vista looks like this: | , and XP looks like this: -- . Vista is slightly ... uh... dumb. Vista, true, does look like a hog.

I am an absolute pro at the NT 3.51 looks. I hope we have a theme for that. Also, a command line is nice. XP looks like it was designed for kids, but even to teens it looks like crap!

Games are good, but we really don't want to bloat the system. Ever tried downloading 500MB over 28k? It is literally hell.

If you must have NTFS, just burn the ISO after injecting NTFS4DOS.exe. It is from a Microsoft company (Symantics), and I have run it off of Windows XP before. You couldn't boot off of NTFS, but you would have basic Live-CD NTFS support by running the app :) . I have'nt tried this in a while, however...

Why not just achieve NT 3.51 compatibility and stop? We want to go forward with MS. Besides, we could always implement something that checks what the program wants, then gives the app what it needs, no less no more.

In answer, the second that we finally get ~90% of the Kernel code done. ReactOS will get better compatibility because of the little issue were WINE has to relate to the Linux kernel parts. We have the actual Windows parts reimplemented into new source.

Speaking of the core, is the cache manager a set of instructions that manages what HDD sectors get read into memory, gets flushed out, and speeds up other HDD access functions?
