Re: Dooble web browser

I have tried Dooble, it installs ok, but I did not get it to load a page. The problem my be with Java. I have seen a error message some while after I had closed Dooble, which looked like it was about java (but I was too quick closing it), which could have come from Dooble. I think there are still pr...

He is a very good leader and I absolutely vote AGAINST replacing him.
I agree with this.

Re: Re:

[…] reinstalling Ros every time I want to try new stuff becomes a bit tedious. Registry files are in C:\ReactOS\system32\config\ . You can create a reserve copy of them after installation; then, instead of reinstalling the whole OS, copy these saved files back. (Needless to say, all this should be ...

Re: Loading boot drivers..... (and blackout)

just in case ReactOS kills some part of your hardware. Interesting, did not even know this is possible. Well, I have had hard drives and cd drives go wonky, on my testing machines. Maybe that was just a coincidence, but I ended up abandoning them. I have had no problems with my latest test computer...

Re: Loading boot drivers..... (and blackout)

I am not a developer, but I understand that you need to install ReactOS to drive C: and that should be formatted as a fat file system. My advice would be to buy a second-hand computer to do testing on, just in case ReactOS kills some part of your hardware. Having said that, ReactOS is much more stab...

Revision 56585 and Python.

Revision 56585 - Real hardware. Clicking on pyscripter installer icon (in drive D:) to try and install the programme, I get a bsod (python 2.6 was installed first). The programme can be downloaded from here: http://code.google.com/p/pyscripter/ . The debug log can be downloaded from here: https://si...

Re: Feedback ReactOS 3.14

(btw, oldman, you sure about the link? Don't see much talk about a black screen there). The reference to black screens is on the second page, here: http://www.reactos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5272&start=15&sid=4cacfe4f8bfc6887d2cbb999d9202c82 Anyway, then it actually (re)started up...

Re: Feedback ReactOS 3.14

I once used a Fujitsu Pentium 133Mhz with 96Mb of ram, the hard drive was 3.5Gb. I have also used some Pentium 2.6Ghz with Intel chip sets, with 500Mb (and 1Gb) and 20Gb hard drive. I now use a AMD based computer with a 2.4Ghz processor, nvidia chip set, with 500Mb ram and a 20Gb hard drive. This la...

Re: Feedback ReactOS 3.14

I have been testing in real hardware for years and have only occasionally had a failure to install. When it fails to install, just repeat the install process again; that sometimes works for me. With the 0.3.14 version, try disabling usb mouse support in the bios. I would urge you to try the trunk bu...

Re: Attempting to install React OS on windows 98 dell pc

Go into the bios and make sure that the cd boots before the hard drive, then with the ReactOS cd in the cd drive, just start the computer. ReactOS should then start to boot after the bios. I do not think that you can install ReactOS from within Windows 98, it (ReactOS) uses itself to do the install ...

Re: Micro Mart magazine features Reactos

This is the forum topic about ReactOS:
http://forum.micromart.co.uk/Topic453812.aspx.

Only three entries, all negative.

Where is the PR team?

Who wants to redress the balance?

Re: copy - paste

I have done some testing and I have found the problem is not with copy/paste, but with Firefox or even gecko, because I have experienced the same with K-Meleon. I am able to copy/paste from Opera (10.0) with no problems. It is possible to load a file into a text editor, then highlight a section, cop...
