You might want to polish/visually structure that guide a bit and post it into Tutorials section :-)

Re: Forum functionality request - embedded videos

We have that one thread which is pretty hard to navigate, but we could have a forum section dedicated to epic win threads (section akin to Design or ReactOS Website Feedback). That could become hard to navigate as well, but much less than one 70-page spaghetti thread.

Re: Proposals for REALLY pushing this project forward

Ubuntu has also gotten very much negative feedback about their choices in this regard. I don't follow Firefox that much these days so I can't tell. Personally, I wouldn't want to use finished ReactOS if it bundled some bloatware, because then there'd be fewer clear points in which it's better than W...

Re: Proposals for REALLY pushing this project forward

I don't think that would go down very well - "Hey, look at this thing that's so much better than Windows, we're completely free and opensource. Also here, have some proprietary bloatware."

Re: ReactOS on an old PC?

--- Is installing ReactOS on real hardware (instead of Virtual Machines) a good plan to get headaches? Yes. ... ok, let me detail that a little bit :-) For example, there may not be drivers for your network/sound/graphics card built within ROS and at the same time, the officially distributed ones m...

Re: Yet Another ReactOS Wallpaper Thread.

Nice idea, I like it! Please don't take the following points personally, I hope my critique is constructive :-) - currently you very much copy the Win7 "splines" paths, but do them in other style that I can only describe as "too simple" - they are larger, yet have less detail of ...

Re: General Testing for 0.4.2

There is no "0.4.1 way" and "0.4.2 way" that could be switched, unfortunately. There are many components collaborating to be able to boot and some combination of changes in them, between these two releases, caused the boot to not work anymore in 0.4.2 even though 0.4.1 did work. ...

Re: Checksums

For the official releases on SourceForge, I can see the checksums for .iso.zip when clicking the small "i" button next to the Downloads/Week mini chart. For the nightly builds, the 7z archive itself should provide basic data checksumming, but I agree computing MD5/SHA* checkums and display...

Re: MSI Live Update 6 (motherboard update) software on React

Hi Jeroen! As ReactOS is in alpha, I wouldn't recommend directly going and flashing your BIOS on your production/important hardware. As a first step you might want to deploy ReactOS in a virtual machine and check if the app can be installed and works at all. The .NET 4.0 framework probably won't wor...

Re: Installing RosBE 2.1.2 on Linux Mint 17.3

From immediate point of view it seems that you try to run a non-executable ../cmake/bootstrap which; that will cause access denied errors even for the root user. I can't tell what caused that or what to do to prevent the issue. The simplest fix would be to add executable permissions to that bootstra...

I like the form of W3 report, makes it the easiest of your reports so far to focus on the content (and I mean paragraphs, not just the images :-) ). I like how I can watch your progress even though I know nothing about the low-level filesystem stuff, thumbs up!
