Exactly, that's the point of Reactos: an open-source OS that could run all your applications, even the non-free ones.
If you want an all free package, use linux.

Nope, it cant. We wont overwrite the existant subsystem. I thought this is clear already... No it is not clear. From the pdf http://www.reactos.org/media/docs/2010/arwinss.pdf it seems clear that Fireball intend to replace the existing system with arwinss. And I thought that other developers agreed.

Why not just removing the note on the main page? These kind of endless/useless discussions would stop?

But more releases gives more visibility to the project. Which would attract new users/testers/developers. :roll: Also Reactos team should try to find a sponsor or another way to raise funds. Then a system of 'bounties' could be implemented, which would lead to more developer work. It works well for ...
