This release is awesome! P.S.: I am posting this from WITHIN ROS! The "only-browse-when-moving-mouse" bug is really annoying.

Someday is the day. Currently, we have a services manager just built, but I'm not sure if there's any open source ODBC servers. Personally, using one always crashes my system. If there are ODBC servers, try away!

Are there design conflicts in outside help?

A lot of people on this forum have talked about Dell IdeaStorm. Along with the blessings of extra developers, could this be a recipe for conflict? Like, could an outside company developer add any kind of advertising/DRM/ other crap to ReactOS? Does anyone see this happening? Or am I paranoid...

ReactOS isn't even very close to done, and yet we still are feature-less and have enough good features, we almost do better than what we clone :D.

The only reason that is not yet feasible is that ReactOS has no USB support. It would load the core kernel, and the kernel would scan the drive, and realize that without the USB driver, it had no clue what to do to read the rest of the USB drive. Kernel can't read drive, kernel go no further. Stuck ...

If the laptop supports HDD/USB emulation (I only try with PheonixBIOS), then get a copy of the HP USB format utility, choose "Create DOS bootdisk", format, format again (delete the DOS stuff), install ReactOS to the disk, and it is bootable.
