Re: ReactOS is now supported by Bountysource
If I'm a user looking to fund development, I'd rather go and create an issue in BountySource. You can't. It's tied to the bugtracker (In ReactOS' case that's JIRA) or if you would prefer not to use the term "bug" we can call it the "issue tracker" as JIRA (or whatever other 'bug...

Re: ReactOS is now supported by Bountysource
That's what JIRA's for, not BountySource. If you want to put a bounty on a specific issue (or check if an issue you fixed has a bounty on it ;)) you find the issue on JIRA, copy it's URL and paste it into the "Post a Bounty" box (labeled with "Paste issue URL or search by keyword.&quo...

ReactOS runs on physical hardware (& will run on more soon)
I suppose we're technically hijacking the thread, but seeing as the original question has been completely answered (i.e. While ReactOS is not compatible with all hardware yet it is not limited to running only in Virtual Machines and the funding acquired by the IndieGoGo Campaign will help to make it...

It has actually been there for a while, but was appearing as "CORE" thus it did not show up when one searched for "ReactOS". It was recently manually renamed. :ugeek: Bountysource is a nice idea, but I think it is bad that it automatically fetches jira issues as there are also me...

E.g. PNG files have a "magic" footer as I understood from a website (they also have "magic" header). FreeArc and RAR archives also have some part of header at the end of the file, but I don't know what is present in that part. I've always recognised PNG files based on their star...

Linux uses some bytes from header and from footer of the file to find out the file type. I don't know about any bytes from 'the footer' of the file (could be, I just don't know) but most filetypes have a (somewhat) unique (some share) "magic number" right near the beginning of the file wh...

i think the right way would be to write the extension in a bright gray and the filename in black like google does in chrome addressbar (the http part and the GET parameters) or to write it in the details section of the Tile of the LV_VIEW_TILE (it's not implemented in Wine/Reactos !!).
