Re: A large list of suggestions ideas, and more.
When i read your first post, rolandixor, i INSTANTLY knew that you are a Linux-User. Linux users always want "new colors" "new menus" "a new modern style"....bah ! Bah...I - for myself - find that the explore of ROS like it's now, is VERY WELL DONE ! It looks very great...

Re: Could ROS already be stumbling block for Windows 7
Oh..I didn't know that c't already reported about ROS.
But the "swell current" - in my opion - is not reached yet. As I am a phyisicist, I compare it to a laser-process.
When will ROS reach the "swell current" ? When will the "laser-process" starts ?

Internet connection with ROS on RealHardware
How can I get a internet connection with ROS on RealHardware ? Are PCMCIA Network cards already supported ? Is there a change to try if a XP Driver would work, or can't that work, because ROS doesn't support PCMCIA yet ? I heard the Networkcard REALTEK 8139 is supported. Is it only casual, that this...

Re: Could ROS already be stumbling block for Windows 7
Yes, but just only a few in a russian Linux magazin. What if there is an article in Chip, PC-Welt or even in the c't ? And in some other foreign computer magazines ? Then "the whole world" will gaze on ROS... What means that there will be more testers, fans, and perhaps some more higly ski...

Could ROS already be stumbling block for Windows 7
Hi there, I ask me, when would be the point, when ROS is resounded thourouhg the lands. Now, nobody but us Reactos Fans knows something about, but not to far in future there will be a point, that the first computer magazines come across ROS. Yes, that will be perhaps not until beta status is reached...

Re: Will ReactOS run Linux apps?
I am very glad to hear, that ROS don't see supporting Linux apps, as a main goal. These guys who need Linux Apps should RUN Linux ! When ROS continues the clear way that it is on, then I think - in my opion - it will come to publicity with a GREAT BIG BANG. Because more ingenious Computer User will ...

Re: USB Mouse/Keyboard RUNS FINE with Boot CD on ROS 0.3.7
Thank you for your tipps. I will follow them. My idea why PS2 mouse isn't working. It's a REAL PS2 Mouse, without a converter. But perhaps it's INTERNAL converted to USB. This old gericom Laptop has only ONE USB Port, a fact over that I was wondering all the time, because windows device manager says...

USB Mouse/Keyboard RUNS FINE with Boot CD on ROS 0.3.7
Hey there, continued my test, please read my other test results on an PIII Gericom laptop that i posted to "Support" Sub-Forum. I guess this is the better place to post my testing results, isn't it ? This time i tested on an IBM R50e Laptop, (Pentium Celeron M, 1,4 GHz, 512 MB RAM) Better ...

Re: Ros 0.3.7 runs fine on an old Gericom Laptop
I was so excited, that i continued my test. I putted some "good, old" Tools on Windows on C-Partition and booted again with ROS Boot CD 0.3.7 My Test: mIRC 5.51 a good old IRC-Client worked FINE ! Sure I couldn't get a connection, but the menus looked like always, and I tryed to crash ROS ...

Ros 0.3.7 runs fine on an old Gericom Laptop
Hi Folks, I tested Boot CD RoS 0.3.7 on my old Gericom Silver Seraph Laptop (my test Laptop), and it runs astonishly fine ! (But not the extern PS/2 Mouse, even if she runs fine under Windows. Build-in Touchpad and Keyboard works fine with Ros !) Systemspecs: PIII, 600 Mhz, 128 MB Ram, PS2/Port for ...

No INternet for ROS with QEMU
Hello,
I try to test ROS, with QEMU.
But no Internet works under QEMU, even my computer is fine on the net.
Must i configure my firewall ? But she isn't complaining.
How can i transfer software to ROS without the internet ?

Could this also be an "fake" CD-Rom ? Means an ISO-Image with e.g. PowerISOTools ?

Install favourite Software
One question: Do I understand right, that the only possibility to install software in ROS is over the internet ?
Is there no possibility to transfer local software install pakets to ROS, running in QEMU ?
I want to test some of my favourite windows programms

Hello, I am Wildschwein
and i am keen on Reactos after I heard from it. I am an 40 year old Engeneer, and I want to help the community. I prefer to help with software test, as i can develop software, but now kernel programming. Testing is no problem for me, I did this over years as my profession. Sorry for my bad english.....
