Re: PUSH YOUR APP contest (IGG)
I meant Flash as the player plugin (although I have no preference on it being the NSPlugin one or any other option).

Re: PUSH YOUR APP contest (IGG)
I just realized it was three votes per user (I assumed my vote for Fallout 2 didn't count, because I thought it was one and I voted for GIMP; anyway, knowing it's three, I'll keep that vote there). When we say "Firefox", is it just the browser, or the idea is something like being able to u...

Re: Fundraising technology survey [FEEDBACK NEEDED]
I don't think it's about that, but they are the ones doing most of the IGG work, and your survey seems targetted to people who actually worked with this kind of thing.buckyhouse wrote: Sorry, is it frowned upon to post links as a new user? I didn't mean to intrude on the board's rules.

Re: PUSH YOUR APP contest (IGG)
NOW, if it is about what I would love to see working, it would be Fallout 2. But nobody will second me :P Actually I would vote for any of a number of 3D video games, however the IndieGoGo Campaign specifically states that the app push perk is limited to non-3D-applications  But Fallout 2 is 2...

Re: PUSH YOUR APP contest (IGG)
I vote for GIMP. Even though being able to build itself is considered a major milestone in OSes and compilers, it has near zero appeal to most users. GIMP is the one that, IMO, would give ReactOS the most traction out of the listed programs. NOW, if it is about what I would love to see working, it w...

Mozilla team have made too many dumb changes (...) don't care about the community (...) better option is Pale Moon Just out of interest, since you know so much about Pale Moon and Mozilla. Where do you think Pale Moon project takes their source code? Mozilla tries very hard to stay relevant ...

Re: OSSP & ISO size
I thought that one of the goals of the project was to deliver a fully functional OS without exceeding the 200 MB limit... or am I wrong? Where did you get such an idea? I didn't ever find any mention of a size related goal. Still, I don't think the OSSP states the software will be included in the i...

I hate it, too. I don't get it too often, but when I do it takes up a whole month of ups and downs, and I always fall for believing I'm already cured and then BAM!, my nose is leaking like hell again, and I got it all harmed by the handkerchiefs and what not. Re: I"M HARDCORE REACTOS!!! I'm trying to motivate people!!!
Uhh, that whole block of words, I don't think people are lazy, I think they don't feel the need to look through every file or source code, attempt to understand all of it (which they most likely couldn't even if they understood any of it), and then trust it. That whole Open Source building is slow,...

Re: ReactOS Community Edition Screenshots
In this first release of the ReactOS Community Edition, you have the opportunity to decide which apps you want to see running compatible, so there is a "base" to begin constructing and adding new suggestion on top of it. Talking about that, I think you all probably thought already about i...

Re: First ReactOS Community Edition perk sold out
As a matter of fact, for far less money and with way more stability, you will get your app running on Windows, Android, Mac OS X or iOS, and absolutely for free you will get your app running on Linux. I don't follow the logic leading to that, could you explain? Why would it cost nothing to have it ...

Re: kX Project Audio drivers open sourced
Hey guys, I don't know if anyone already knows this, but the kX Project Audio drivers have been open sourced. http://www.hardwareheaven.com/general-discussion/225114-opensource.html http://github.com/kxproject The author Eugene Gavrilov says the drivers are GPL2: Code seems to be GPL2-covered. Howe...

Re: Does ReactOS only run inside a VM?
Actually, Microsoft gets nothing by dropping support to older hardware, aside from the technical advantage of not having to keep compatibility with it. Think about it, they don't really care if you buy newer hardware as long as you do pay the license for Windows. If your hardware is not supported by...

Re: Does ReactOS only run inside a VM?
BeOS. Also, while DRM does non allow OS X to run on non Apple hardware, there is plenty of examples of incompatibilities between Macs themselves and their newer/older OS versions due to 32/64 UEFIs, drivers/hardware revisions, sometimes even CPU speed :!:  Of course they can all be attributed...
