Re: Steam fails to respond
@middings: Thank you for being patient at helping my unfortunate case as well as answering my PM! However, you have installed RosBE and log2lines is a RosBE tool. RosBE has its own copy of log2lines in the RosBE/bin directory. Start RosBE then enter log2lines at RosBE's command prompt. You should ge...

Re: Steam fails to respond
Makes me wonder why I posted this topic yet no recent updates for my JIRA report have been committed. Sorry about that, middings! Hopefully the new information I gave today on that JIRA is helpful otherwise please let me note! *EDIT*: A guy named Mark wants me to translate the crash addresses to fun...

Steam fails to respond
As the title implies, after the successful installation of Steam from Applications manager, Steam simply outputs no screen at all and the Task Manager reports the application as "not responding". To make things more oddly, Task Manager reports that Steam is "Running" and vice ver...

Re: ReactOS 0.4.5 Released
After several months of my inactivity I saw this news just recently and it made me intrigued by the whole effort by ReactOS Team Developers. Surely will going to test this version when I have time. Keep up folks!

Re: More than 4gb RAM?
The thing is, it is impossible. As LuxenDM mentions, ReactOS is currently a 32-bit OS and only 4 GB of RAM will be supported under 32-bit length type systems. Thus 64-bit applications won't work as well. Developers are still continuing on the development and adding 64-bit support though so please st...

Re: Do you know with this Windows Research Kernel tool?
Windows Research Kernel is only helpful if you're curious how does the NT kernel (mostly earlier versions of NT) work or for personal use but don't think even by a bit it'll be useful for ReactOS development core. If it has been found ReactOS uses some of code from such hubs the team will expect not...

Re: Opera 12.18 is too unresponsive / lags
@osuser25: I did what you said however it still consumes lots of CPU power. I guess we can say safely it's the ReactOS core problem rather than mine so it wouldn't make much sense to find a solution for it. I'll stick with Firefox 45 for further testing purposes anyway.

Re: Opera 12.18 is too unresponsive / lags
@EmuandCo: I'm fully aware of ReactOS not being yet a fully stable system and many critical bugs still in the wild. I was just mere curious why just Opera 12.18 and why not Firefox 45 (heck, or Opera 9.64)?

Opera 12.18 is too unresponsive / lags
I notice lots of lags when using Opera (version 12.18) and seems to be so unresponsive that it takes much to operate certain tasks while browsing the web. I did check the task manager and found that the CPU process was tremendously high (100%) - even when you launch the browser. The weird thing is, ...

Re: Application Manager
I ran the application manager and seems GIMP, Inkscape and Opera 12.18 succeed the integrity check except for UltraVNC. Went through ReactOS debugging mode and this is what it tells when you get the fail integrity error.

Re: I can't sign in to jira to report a bug
Your ReactOS account is accessible to all ReactOS related services, including JIRA. You could log-in to the ReactOS JIRA bugtracker website just fine unless the website suffers from high load traffic or the server did not register your account to JIRA yet. If the problem still persists, delete all t...

Re: Application Manager
I can confirm the issue with Firefox 45. It took me like several minutes to download the setup file completely and it ended up with an error message (can't remember for sure what the message said). Pretty sure this needs to be reported on JIRA bugtracker if this problem is notoriously serious.

Re: ReactOS VM...
Bear in mind that ReactOS is based on Windows NT self-built kernel. That means certain malware can potentially work at half in the ReactOS system, including some adware. Albeit it won't certainly affect badly the whole system because many features aren't implemented yet, ReactOS can mimic the behavi...

ChkDsk warning on partition check
So I tried to update the current ReactOS build to the latest trunk revision, 73526 , however at the disk partition check it threw a warning message like this below: "ChkDsk detected some disk errors. (Status 0xc0000032)." The setup did let me to continue the installation though and I've up...
