0.3.8 Released

Post by Jaix » Sat Feb 07, 2009 4:50 pm

You have probably already noticed it, however, it should be announced here: ReactOS 0.3.8 (still alpha release) has been released, here you can read Aleskeys release note: http://www.reactos.org/en/news_page_49.html
And here you can download different packages of it: http://www.reactos.org/en/download.html

There's also a "hybrid CD" ISO image available here:
http://stuff.silverblade.co.uk/reactos/ ... brid-V3.7z

I made this for our CDs handed out at FOSDEM '09, and it features:
- Run from CD / Install to hard drive (boot menu options)
- RosBE 1.4 for Windows (plus current UNIX version.)
- Source code for 0.3.8
- QEMU preloaded with ReactOS ("Virtualized ReactOS"), possibly the easiest way to install/run it :)
- VMWare image

The CD autoplays in Windows.

(URL will change in the near future, I'll try and remember to update this post!)

Hi,I'm waiting for the new release of ReactOS 0.3.9.
I believe to that OS ,I believe is the only OS that can fight with MS Windows and WIN...
I'm watching ReactOS from version 0.3.2 and I'm waiting for the first stable and full working Version..
But every build of ReactOS come out very slow! Why ReactOS goes so slow?

Because attempting to do the equivalent work of 500 fully-paid developers writing code full-time over 3 years for each iteration of a certain popular OS with 25 guys who do the same but in their free time would result in some significant delay between releases.

Money money money if I had lot of money I would give lot to open source software and hardware because I believe to them.
