CD, but I also managed to get latest 1.29 patch by copying game files over and exporting registry keys from host OS.
My working rigs:
Dell Latitude E5430 on 0.4.9-vgal - i5-3340M, USB boot.
Partially working rigs:
Ryzen 7 3700X on B450 board - 0.4.14 boot via preinstall. USB broken.

Nice one :D WIFI was not tested that much yet. And in this case even USB ^^
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

If my post/reply offends or insults you, be sure that you know what sarcasm is...

Time to merge the USB work and enable it. There seem to be more improvements than eventual regressions.

Please be careful merging it, the last time something 'tested by a certain community' was merged, ReactOS didnt even boot.

I did not mean to merge it by self but that it could be done after the next release branch. In most cases where testers complain about a non booting system they get pointed to the old isos of vgal and then they are happy that it works. And now that I see that even external hardware, like a wifi adapter in this case, is working I am a bit sad that this issues will still be accepted even if there are already possible fixes available. Maybe sometime it's better to risk something to go forward instead of walking in circles at some safe ground.

Glad that you like it :)

The USB external optical drive (LG GE20NU10) works with ReactOS 0.4.9 (VGal). I have used the usbstor.inf from Windows 2003 for the hardware ID. It is impossible to eject the tray without shutting down ReactOS, other than that, it seems to work fine.

EDIT: It seems that the inability to eject the tray is an issue with this particular optical drive unit rather than the USB stack.

Connectix Virtual PC 5.2 (the virtualization software) works in ReactOS.

Most of the features are working; sound, internet connection, guest additions (mouse integration, shared folder). Machine/Disk configuration dialogs are broken though.

EDIT: The JIRA issue about dialogs: CORE-15196

Heh cool :D Now, can you test *Microsoft* Virtual PC 2004, or 2007, in ReactOS? (they should be available somewhere for download.)

wow! that's something even wine can't do.

I think 2004 and 2007 both check for a valid windows product key.

Already tried these, couldn't get them working. They are complaining about missing MSXML 4/6, even though I have it already installed. I will report all the Virtual PC related issues to Jira soon.
