light-eyecandy style for ReactOS

Post by jonaspm »

Today i was watching images about computers and then i got an idea...

Some people like the simple-retro style of Metro (which is now called Windows 8 style) but don´t like the new way to move around with the mouse

So i came with a conclusion:

what if ReactOS adopts a retro style but keeping the Windows classic feel?

GOT THIS!

This is a visual style made by Giro54 and published in DevianART

So what do you think?

WinXP meets Win7 meets Win8 :) I'd like it even more if the Forward/Backward buttons in Explorer and the tray expand icons were square instead of round.

That may not be possible because of support for Windows 7 themes... But i recomend ReactOS team to addopt something like this to be the nice simple default theme in ReactOS

Hi,
reactos already supports xp compatible themes ( more or less), so if you could create another version of your theme that works on xp it would be great! (It should also be compatible with reactos).

Nice!
Lautus is a really cool theme, hope it works 100% in ReactOS

I insist that big taskbar (like in windows 7) is better for easy reading and for touch devices (without changing everything like in Windows 8)
