Post by ArmyMan007 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 9:06 pm

Well, it's been a long run. Lots of hopes, dreams and aspirations by many, came to its' final draw.
It was EPIC, it was AMAZING, and it's NOW HERE! Ladies and Gentlemen, Without further a do, I present to you the winning motto!

And the winner is...

ReactOS - Open Your Windows to Freedom!!!

At this time I want to thank everyone for partaking in this important competition. Now it's all up to the dev team to adopt this motto.

See you later on future competitions and surprises!!! :D

Don't be surprised if they don't.

I've been part of this conversation and I believe they should promote it.
I'll raise it to Z98, Amine and vicmarcal

Sound fair to me and thanks to Z98 for taking time to make an substantiated answer.
(Darn, and me having ROS: a wind of liberty through open windows pop in my mind just before reading his post. Oh well, back to the drawing board :D )

That was never the official motto. It was a term thrown around in previous years by various members of the team, but it was never formally adopted by the team. It's also one that when the team actually discussed it, a significant majority did not like it.

Not really, as there were so many things proposed, but explains why it popped in my mind. :) Thank you for reminding me.

Make sense in the light of the explanations you gave.
