Does it bring anything new?
Does ReactOS bring anything new or is it only a clone? How about better command prompt (more powerful) than windows have?
ReactOS will no doubt eventually have many new perks to it that MS Windows may not have out of the box. Our VBE driver is allready a boon over the generic VGA driver MS ships.
Further (Open)win32 innovations that are a bit more praiseworthy are likely to show up, but for right now core functionality in terms of compatability are much more important.

Re: Does it bring anything new?
The main point in the ReactOS project is to make a free (free as in free speech, not as in free beer) copy of windows. The point is that everybody can change everything as he or she wants to. So if you want component foobar to be more powerful, no one will prevent you from enhancing foobar and contributing it to the project. However, the primary target as of now is to get more windows applications and drivers running, which will take a while.woodhead wrote:Does ReactOS bring anything new or is it only a clone? The bash has been ported to windows, so it'll run on ReactOS as well, and maybee it'll even be shipped with ReactOS at some point in the future. Does this answer your question?
