Recently, there was a request that I re-test a Windows SSH server.
Well, that exact program seemed to be no longer available (on a permanent basis anyway), so I retested with FreeSSHd and Kpym. Neither worked, nor did the Telnet component of FreeSSHd. What happens is basically this: you do "log in" apparently successfully (in FreeSSHd, at least; both Telnet and SSH). It is also shown that a user has logged in.
But you do not see a command line. You cannot give commands like "DIR" or thelike.

(Don't really have much time nowadays for extensive testing and experimentation, but I remember that once I was able to set up something - extremely cumbersome - with netcat. The problem was that my netcat solutions did kind of work for "commands", but not for interactive programs.)
