Anybody tried to use JDesktop? This looks as the only Java Desktop project not being dead... Still needs some more development, but works well. And I think it's GPL.
I will have to try it as soon as JRE is functionnal under ROS.

as far i know some i/o filters are written in java. maybe it's the common way to keep platform consistency for closed source libaries for ooo.uniQ wrote:It doesn't say it needs it to run, and you can say "No Java VM" and it'll install, but with a notice that some (probably minor) functionality will be disabled.
