Right now it goes very fast. Thats because of the Fact that there was no real thing to rewrite right now. Soon the Kernel will be the last part to be audited. I'm sure then it will slow down.

I know. But it doesn't change the fact that it is cool.

It was supposed that the audit will be fast until 70% then it would be slower... Now it is at 83% and it has not slowed yet...
That could mean that there are less things that need to be audited than what they planned.

I think it's a good thing...

Yes there are still somethings which are most likely to be clean.

It will slow down as soon as everything except the Kernel was audited. There will be a special branch for Kernel auditing.

Does that signal a return to 'normal' development of the non-kernel code at that stage then, or will it be all hands to the auditing pumps still?

Normal development has been going on in the meanwhile

Guys, would it be possible to have a progress bar on the kernel audit? Like having two progress bars, one at the 83% it is right now (congratulationss!) - and another for the percentage of the kernel auditing.

It makes things more interesting :)

Possible, yes. But not yet. 0% does not look that nice ;-)

I don't like this rule at all!!!
free software=INOVATION
80/20 is fine but when you are at 80/20 you still need to continue
