I think you did not understand the purpose of ReactOS.
ReactOS is trying to reimplement a Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 compatible OS by legal means! That's why there has been the code audit! To make sure all the existing code is created using clean room reverse engeneering methods and respecting copyrighted code.
No leaked source code will ever find it's way into reactos!
Yes, ReactOS is free! Free as in free beer and in free speech and it stands for having the choice between different OSes, but it also stands for respecting intellectual property and copyright. It's not meant to be an illegal copy of Windows!

If you want to use an illegal copy of Windows, nobody can keep you from doing so, but you will not be admired, supported or encouraged for that here.
