Main page is down

The main page and some other pages on the site are down right now, I can only get to the forums. Is this being fixed?

there are other problems too.

i can't change my password or log in with any browser other than IE.

(for a while there firefox would log in but "log out" would be broken -- i let it pass because i have it set to clear the cache on program close).
