It's because the game can't capture the mouse in it. So it hasn't got exclusive mouse-support and you can't properly control via mouse.
If mouse-capturing would not crash ReactOS you could properly control the game.

Maybe the input does not because DirectInput is not implemented (don't know how far GreateLord is)
Hi
The directinput for the mouse have only one bug. I have not fix it yet.
I do not know when I got time fix the last bug in there. The mouse input of directx are working to 75-80% for it is a buffer problem that I have not solv yet. Or when w3seek implenet gdi hook. when he does it alot of my patch can be remove and it will work to 99% in windows / reactos then.

Cause ReactOS has OpenGL support now, you can play UT in ReactOS with OpenGL now!!!
It works just great
So you can play it with better graphic, higher resolutions and faster speeds 8)
I updated the Tutorial

The method which you describe in your tutorial does not enable hardware acceleration, it will use Mesa3D (which we use as fallback if there is no other driver installed) - have you tested this? Is it really faster with Mesa3D than the native software renderer?

There's a bug in the memory manager and something in win32k which has to be fixed for nvidia opengl to work correctly and without hacks ... should be done within the next 3 weeks if I dont lose motivation.
Well, I didn't really see if it's faster because software rendering already is fast for me... I think you're right, that's not the hardware opengl I used :( I always got an error:

Code: Select all

Couldn't load driver "<NULL>".
So I remove it from the tutorial until it really works.
However, shouldn't mesa3D be slower than UT's internal software renderer? I didn't feel any change in speed :?
